Week 17 (06/02/2023 - 12/02/2023)
Week 17 Blog As this was a rather intense week for me with preparations for many presentations and the upcoming term test, I stayed home for most days of the week. However, I did decide to consume less meat and dairy, particularly red meat like beef. Meat production is the single biggest cause of deforestation globally with many trees cleared for pastures and farms. Deforestation is very harmful for the environment as it destroys trees. T rees absorb and store carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas in our atmosphere that contributes to global warming. Additionally, the rearing of animals such as cows releases methane, another greenhouse gas. Hence, it's a fact that we cannot halt climate change without stopping or at least significantly slowing down the rate of meat production. Usually, I eat around at least 300g of meat a day, which is higher than the global average of 136g per day. Although at this point in time, it does not seem feasible for me to give up meat entirely, I am definitel
